Sara Curruchich

Is a Guatemalan singer and songwriter of Mayan Kaqchikel origin, activist in defense of the rights of women and of the original peoples of Guatemala. She especially known for her song "Resist". She is a woman in favor of indigenous rights and going against heteropatriarchal racism. In addition to composing and singing, she plays marimba and guitar. It was an enormous privilege to collaborate with the UN Women Guatemala agency to create an illustrated portrait of Sara and the visuals for the generation equality campaign.
