Many of the women that participated in the co-design process and the creation of this mural are still living in the neighborhood of Barrio Gerona and since that they are closer than ever fighting together to get ahead. It was an extraordinary experience, from managing the event to designing and painting with women, children and volunteers, rescuing one of the most important walls of a building that houses more than 40 families who lost their homes in Hurricane Mitch.
Women's Day
"We are all souls" this mural was created in honor of women who are fighting hard to achieve respect for diversity and the exercise of their rights. Exposing the situation of vulnerability that Guatemalan women face against an unequal system and showing how racial and class discrimination in our country is still one of the main problems that affect our development in society.
