Domingo de Cumbia

Domingo de Cumbia 2024 – Illustration Project For the second year in a row, I had the joy of illustrating the visual identity for Domingo de Cumbia—an annual sonidero celebration of cumbia culture and community in Cologne, Germany. This fun and collaborative project brought together DJs from across Latin America, Germany, and beyond, who collectively build a space for joy, belonging, and diasporic connection through the powerful rhythms of cumbia. I illustrated each member of the DJ crew, highlighting the spirit of collectivity and movement that defines this one-of-a-kind event. Domingo de Cumbia is more than a party—it’s a celebration of memory, migration, and cultural resistance through sound. Grateful to contribute to this growing tradition that centers cumbia as a space of joy, inclusion, and sonic kinship. ¡Cumbia es amor!
